Our Vision Statement
Harvest Community Fellowship Church of God is a Christ-centered Pentecostal church body committed to following Biblical models of leadership and worldwide ministry.
Ephesians 4:11,12
"...It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up...."
Christ-Centered
Christ Jesus is the Image of the invisible God, the Firstborn of all Creation. For by Him were all things created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities. All things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things are held together. He is the Head of His Body, the Church. He is the Beginning, and the Firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He reigns supreme. For God was pleased to have all His Fullness dwell in Him, and through Him, to reconcile to Himself all things - whether things on earth or things in heaven - by making peace through His Blood shed on the Cross.
Pentecostal
The Pentecostal movement is rooted in the Biblical teaching that all members of the Church are to become Spirit-filled and endued with supernatural power. We identify with the worldwide Pentecostal movement in its mission, theology, and practice.
Leadership
Biblical models of leadership (Ephesians 4:11) are indispensable for preserving the well-being of the Church. Those of us who are called to a five-fold ministry will plant the Church, preach the Word, win the lost, and care for the Body of Christ. As under-shepherds of Christ, we are to lead the Church while laying down our lives for the flock. We must be prepared to give an account to God (Acts 20:28) for our care of the Church.
Ministry
Biblical models of ministry (Ephesians 4:12) fulfill the Church's call to be Salt and Light, to bear prophetic witness, and to operate in supernatural gifts under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The Body of Christ consititutes the people of God who serve to introduce the Kingdom of God to a lost and broken world.
